Down in the dumps? Feeling a bit off? Then please find a bit of time to watch "How to Build a

Girl". Adapted by screenwriter Caitlin Moran from her autobiographically inspired bestseller we're absolutely in love with this film. A bittersweet, kick-ass, funny, love-lorn-but-better story of 90's teenage girl, Johanna Morrigan, aged 16, from Wolverhampton who goes onto become the youngest female music journalist in a full-on male bastion of music writing, the D&ME (a thinly disguised version of Melody Maker, the weekly music paper). Her review of Annie, the musical wins her an ironic mascot place at the D&ME table. The transformation of nerdy Johanna into feisty Dolly Wilde is an uplifting moment in self-belief and all it brings. Dolly/Johanna's wild existence might not be for the more faint-hearted in WI-land but we think you'll love it.
